The twenty five patients that were admitted after testing positive for COVID-19 in Kikuube district at the beginning of this month are out of danger, the head of the district COVID-19 Taskforce has said.
The patients include nine humanitarian workers in Kyangwali Refugee Settlement, 8 health workers and one police officer.
Amlan Tumusiime, the Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Kikuube cum Chairperson of the district Covid 19 Taskforce had said the vases are being managed at Kasonga Health Centre in Kyangwali Settlement
He adds that they have intensified mass sensitization with hope that the pandemic will be contained.
Mr Tumusiime calls upon different stakeholders to adhere to the SOPs and where possible support vulnerable communities to access protective gears through financing.
He adds that the district has heightened measures to contain the coronavirus including the new guidelines issued by the President.
