Buhimba United Saints last (Sunday) evening held a 1-1 draw against struggling Kirasa United in a regional league.

The Saints who scored first from Yasinta Sabir were disappointed after conceding a late penalty which the victors converted making it a draw game in a match played at Kigaaya COU primary school playground in Buhimba town council, Kikuube district.

The game was disrupted by a heavy downpour; forcing the referee to halt it for almost 10 minutes in the first half which both sides believe was the cause of the poor performance.

It was the first home game for the Kikuube district-based Saints to either share points or lose, having drawn with Dove FC at Katusabe Stadium in Masindi municipality.

Buhimba have enjoyed a good start of the season winning five games, collecting 17 points and making it the best team so far in the league.

The Saints currently sit on top of the Kitara Region Albert Group table with 17 points with Kagadi United in the second position with 13 points and the struggling Kirasa United in the 10th with three points despite drawing with the table leaders.

Buhimba will next travel to face 5th placed Kiryandongo United in Kiryandogno district and will be looking to go back to their winning ways.

Meanwhile, the club unveiled a new bus to help them in away games.
