
Buliisa District MK Movement campaigners are spreading the idea to the Lake Albert dwellers and the entire district.
They carry the message of assurance that Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba will appear on the ballot paper by 2026 for presidency.
The Buliisa District MK Movement Leader, Mr Abibu Businge, has urged the Lakers and the people of Buliisa to welcome and promote the movement in the interest of Uganda’s smooth transition of power.
The first executive meeting was held at Walukuba landing site in Butyaba sub-county.
“The movement is operating on three main pillars including a peaceful transition of power from Gen Yoweri Museveni Kaguta to Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba,” he said.
A one Pastor Mpiigwa who was also present in the meeting encouraged people to join the MK Movement without fear saying it is a legally operating and secure crusade.
The Butyaba Sub-county Local Government Chairman, Mr Violence Abudala, said he was hooked to the MK Movement when he recently represented Buliisa district at the launch of MK Movement in Kigezi sub-region.
He said he learnt much about the beauty with embracing the MK Movement.
“Let us be tolerant to each other, respect each other, guide each other, ready to volunteer and have commitment to ensure the better future of Uganda.
The meeting targeted different categories of people including salon operators, religious leaders, boda-boda riders, fisher groups and drivers.
The Movement that some people believe is illegal in support of president Museveni’s son Gen. Muhoozi is rapidly gaining support of the majority youths.
The MK Movement WhatsApp groups are among the largest in mid-western and northern Uganda regions with many youths hooked up.
