The Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese, the Rt Rev Samuel Kahuma Abwoli, has urged Christians to stick to the biblical doctrine at this time when moral fibres are crumbling.
In his sermon at St Paul Rusorooza Church of Uganda in the newly created Katikengeye Archdeaconry, Kagadi district, the bishop underscored the imperative spiritual need for Christians to stick to the true Christian teaching so they can avoid falling an easy prey to unchristian acts that are currently rocking the church of Christ.
He warned all believers against deviating from God’s word by following false earthly teachings that lead people stray from biblical teachings.
Bishop Kahuma assured the congregants of God’s unlimited blessings in their spiritual, social and financial stands when they keep themselves right with Him.
“Stand firm in your faith and true Christianity in order to strengthen your spiritual living. This will enable God to shower blessings to you mainly spiritual ones and others will follow to meet your worldly needs,” he said.
He urged and encouraged parents and guardians to take children to school for a better future.
During the service, more than 80 Christians were confirmed into the Anglican faith.
The acting archdeacon of Katikengeye COU Archdeaconry, the Ven Rev Capt Wilson Atuhire urged Christians to cooperate with church leaders in order to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to greater heights.
