This week, a dark cloud covered the media fraternity when it lost one of the best writers, Fred Kiva, who made tremendous contributions to the industry.

Kiva was a person who could contribute to the proficiency development of almost any upcoming journalist for the simple reason the Lord had gifted him abundantly.

Unless told, you could not tell that Kiva was an editor who fancied reportage so he could get to the gist of the matter personally, conduct in-depth interviews and gather empirical data to furnish his story with indisputable detailed facts.

Although some media practitioners paint a gloomy picture on traction for people of their rank while executing their duty, Kiva had a different acuity lest he miss the story.

His being social, loyal, knowledgeable and swift among other qualities coerced every mourner to the podium hail the fallen great writer while paying their last respects before Kiva was laid to rest at his ancestral home in Mabaale Cell, Buhimba Town Council in Kikuube District on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.

We mourn the passing of a very rare species.

Kiva, may you rest in eternal peace.

Fare thee well Kiva.

Fallen journalist, Fred Kiva (May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace)
