After qualifying for the East Africa Secondary Schools Volleyball Championship League, Hilton High School in Mukono District of Uganda has intensified training of its students so they can return home with a trophy.
The School Chaplain, Pastor Elisha Kisembo, has told Kazi-njema Radio that they want to shock the world if God wills.
“The victory at Uganda national level gave us a task of working harder to acquire more training since we will meet volleyball teams from other East African countries which are equally strong.
Hilton High School emerged winners during the national championship held at Teso College Aloet in Teso land after being listed among the Uganda National Secondary School Volleyball Zonal Qualifiers.
At national level, they belonged to Group A together with Namilyago SS, Mother Kevin SS and Uganda Martyr’s SS.
The national level matches were held from July 10th, to 17th, 2024, from which they emerged fourth, thus qualifying for the East African Secondary School Volleyball Championship League to be held in Bukedea district, eastern Uganda on the days yet to be declared.
Hilton High School was also among the best volleyball players in last year’s national competitions in Kabaale district.
The school has a clean performing record both in academics and sports with the graph shooting up every year.
