Kitara FC returned to winning ways with a deserved 3-0 win over Calvary FC in a Big League game held at Kigaaya COU Primary School play grounds today (Thursday).

A brace from Patrick Kaddu and one goal from Charles Kyomuhendo ensured that the Hoima based club bagged maximum points.
The win ensured that Kitara extended their lead at the top. They are now on 16 points after seven games, three points above second placed Mbarara City.
Today, playing at home, Kitara earned a bright start when Kaddu put them ahead in the 9th minute thanks for a pass from John Kisakye.
Kyomuhendo later on in the 31st minute doubled his side’s lead, heading in home off a well delivered free kick from Moses Sseruyide.

Kitara, who were dominant could have scored more before the break but Sseruyide was denied from a free kick before Kaddu also missed another chance in front of the goal.
After the break, with just five minutes into the second half, Kaddu completed his brace with a fine finish, with Kisakye turning provider again. His goals take his tally to nine goals so far and is the current top scorer of the Big League.
With three goals ahead, damage had already been caused to Calvary who barely threatened on the day.
Victory ensured that Kitara bounced back to winning ways, having lost to Kataka in their previous game last week.

For Calvary, it was another poor outing for them as they suffered the third defeat of the season. They now drop to the 15th position on just six points after seven games.
Action in the FUFA Big League will return next week with Kitara tussling Police FC Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Kavumba Recreation Centre in Wakiso district off Hoima Road.
