Kataka condemn Kitara to first league loss, Booma defeats Kaaro Karungi in Masindi

Kataka FC edged table leaders Kitara 1-0 in the FUFA Big League game played at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru on Friday.

Emmanuel Mukisa score the all-important goal for Kataka as they bounced back to winning ways to condemn Kitara to their first loss of the season.

The Hoima outfit Kitara FC created a couple of chances with Patrick Kaddu and Moses Sseruyide all coming close as their efforts could not be directed to goal.

A win for Kataka guided them out of the relegation zone to sit 9th on the log with seven points whereas Kitara retained their top spot despite losing away from home.

Kitara will return to action when they welcome Calvary FC whereas Kataka will be away against Luwero United in the next match-day.

In the other FUFA Big League game played, an early kick off saw Masindi’s Booma defeat Kaaro Karungi 2-0 in Masindi.

Club captain, Denis Omedi, bagged a brace as Booma secured maximum points at home.
