Kikuube receives Covid-19 equipment donation

Kikuube District has received a donation of Covid-19 equipment worth Shs15m from Christian East African and Equatorial Development (CEED) Trust.

The equipment that include oxygen cylinders, infrared thermometres, examination gloves, surgical face masks, sanitizers, oxygen regulators and face shields among others was donated to help health workers guard against contracting the deadly Covid-19 in line of duty.

The beneficiaries include Wambabya Health Centre 2 in Kiziranfumbi sub-county and Kikuube Health Centre 4.

Receiving the equipment, Dr Alex Tuhairwe of Kikuube Health Centre 4, said the donation that was opportune as health workers experience a dire shortage of protective gears.

Herbert Asiimwe, the Executive Director CEED Uganda advised people to observe Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guard against catching Covid-19 that has claimed many lives of people worldwide.

CEED Uganda’s donation was facilitated by funds from CEED Trust – an American non-government organisation to help fight Covid-19.
