Debutant Kitara FC of Hoima has today (Wednesday) secured their first ever win in the Uganda Premier League (UPL) beating Wakiso Giants 3-2 in a game played at Kabumba Recreational Ground in Wakiso district.

The win is a move from the bottom to second last with 5 points in 13 games o far played.
Kitara is currently hiring Kabumba Recreational Ground as their home ground since FUFA did not accredit their playground in Hoima to host premier league upon failing to meet set standards.
Kitara has lost 10, drawn 2 and won just one in their opening 13 games with just two games to finish half of the season.

A brace from Edison Agondoze in the second half of the game helped secure a historical win for the Hoima based football club as he was also named Pilsner’s man of the match.

Geoffrey Tumwesige, the club public relations officer told Kazi-njema News that the win is a milestone in building hope for the team that is trying to fight from being relegated from the league.
Kitara’s remaining two fixtures are against Bull FC and Busoga United, all away.
The last three clubs at the end of the season shall be relegated to star time’s FUFA big league.
