Kitara FC has dispatched 17 players and three officials to the Fufa Njeru technical centre ahead of tomorrow’s Fufa Big league play offs.

Kitara FC will take on Kataka FC tomorrow Monday, October 19, 2020 at 10am.
Led by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Mr Timothy Kato, the club has followed the guidelines set by Fufa that each team must send only 17 players and three officials as part of adherence to government’s call to stop the spread of Covid-19.
Before setting off, the delegation was subjected to the mandatory Covid-19 screening with the results showing all the players and the officials testing negative for the viral disease.
At their stopover in Kampala, the team was hosted at a lunch dinner by the Kitara FC Vice President in charge of Finance, Mr Deo Kasozi, before proceeding to Njeru in Jinja, according to the club publicist, Mr Francis Mugerwa.

In a statement, spectators will not be allowed entry into the stadium. This is being done to avoid transmission of Covid-19.
“No fans will be allowed inside the venue for the play offs. However, we received a communication from FUFA indicating that the play offs will be broadcast live on TV.
We shall inform you the TV channel that will broadcast the match,” Mr Mugerwa said.
On the eve of setting off, the players were briefed by the club President, Mr Godfrey Bamwenda, who encouraged them to focus on victory.
