Kitara FC has officially received a new sponsor to support the club in various aspects with the initial funding of a whopping Shs200m to be released in instalments for the 2023/24-25 season.
The fund from Jornard Conglomerate Investment Limited (JCIL) will see the team strive in the FUFA Premier League as it aims to perform to their best next season.
The organisation is the first to sign a platinum support partnership for Kitara FC which is the top package for one to qualify to be an official sponsor.
Eng Jonard Asiimwe, the JCIL Executive Director, said on Saturday at the function to announce the sponsorship that his decision to support the club stems from its capacity of bringing together and uniting the people of Bunyoro.
“We want to work together to see that our team succeeds. We have love for the people of Bunyoro and fans of Kitara,” he said.
Asiimwe urged the players to be positive result oriented for the team to attract more funders.
Speaking at the function, the Kitara FC President, Deo Kasozi, could not hide his appreciation for the support.
“The deal will see Jonard Conglomerate Investment Limited brand their name on all the club jerseys including the home and away kits and the Third kit,” he said.
The funding comes at the time when the Royals are preparing for the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League (UPL) season which will commence on September 15, 2023.

Engineer Jonard Asiimwe, the ED Jornard Conglomerate Investment Limited promised to continue supporting Kitara because the team brings the people of Bunyoro together and also unite them.
In other news, Kitara beat Kiboga Young FC in a friendly game that was played at Kigaaya primary school playground before the unveiling ceremony.
Kitara won by 2:0 maintaining their good run in the pre-season friendlies where they have previously played four games away from Hoima.
This is one way of preparing for the forthcoming UPL that awaits the Royals that starts on September 15, 2023. The game will officially kick off away at the wankulukuku stadium, the home of the hosts SC Villa.
The Royals will next Saturday host Wakiso Giants in a friendly game at Kigaaya playground and they will also unveil the new head coach, players and jerseys.
