Kitara secures home clean sheet against Luwero FC

Kitara FC Thursday thrashed Luwero United FC in a game played at Kigaaya Church of Uganda primary school playground.

The match ended 4:0 in favour of the hosts helping the Hoima-based club to extend their unbeaten run at home since the season kicked off in October 2022.

Now the Royals sit comfortably on top of the table with 26 points in 12 games followed by Mbarara city with 25 points in 12 games while NEC is in the 3rd position.

Luwero United sit in the 9th position with 15 points after losing to Kitara Thursday in a Division 2 game.

Kitara’s four goals from Patrick Henry Kaddu, Ssali Edison Agondeze and Stuart Akugizibwe were enough to secure a home win; making Kitara shine on top of the FUFA Big League table.

Kaddu scored in the 6th minute of the first half of the game before goals from Ssali, Agondeze and Akugizibwe in the second half of the game making Kitara remain at the helm of the table.

Kitara will next week Thursday, January 5, 2023, play against Soroti city looking to tighten its grip on its position at the top of the table.
