A man and his former wife are admitted to Masindi General Hospital nursing wounds they sustained during a misunderstanding today (Tuesday).
The duo has been identified as Isaac Tumusiime a resident of Kabalye Cell in Karujubu Division and Monica Kusiima a resident of Bigando Cell in Kigulya Division Masindi Municipality.
According to Kusiima, it began when Tumusiime called her yesterday (Monday) asking her to give him their child for Christmas celebration.
The two who split up in the cohabitation agreed to meet at Kirasa cell so that Kusiima could hand the child to Tumusiime for the Christmas festivity.
Kusiima told Kazi-njema News that when she arrived at Kirasa, she found Tumusiime waiting together with his mother, handed the child over to her former mother-in-law before she decided to get back on the taxi.
No sooner had she tried to board the taxi again, than her ex-husband reportedly grabbed, punched and shot her with arrows in the chest and in the back, Kusiima told this online news portal.
Joseph Kaahwa, a brother to Kusiima told our reporter that he learnt of the incident after receiving a call that his sister had been attacked and beaten up by her husband before being admitted to hospital.
Kaahwa did not know what exactly forced Tumusiime to beat up Kusiima since they separated sometime back.
However, he said although the two had separated, they kept on communicating on phone regularly.
