The Ministry of Health has revealed that the former Member of Parliament for Bujenje County in Masindi District, Fox Kaheebwa died of coronavirus.

Kaheebwa who has been battling high blood pressure died at Mulago Hospital Intensive Care Unit where he had been admitted after his condition deteriorated.
Addressing the press at his office, the Masindi Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) cum Deputy District COVID-19 Taskforce Chairperson, said information from the ministry of health indicates that the deceased’s wife who has been attending to him tested positive for COVID-19.
Mr Longino Bahebwa added that samples taken from Kaheebwa’s body also tested positive for the virus.
The RDC revealed that Kaheebwa’s wife is still in Mulago hospital isolation centre where she is undergoing treatment.

Kaheebwa’s body was buried by a team of health experts at Kityeedo village in Bikonzi sub-county, Masindi district today (Wednesday).
Twenty people were allowed at the burial place in line with the ban on social gatherings as one of the measures of slowing down the spread of coronavirus in the country.
Kaheebwa becomes the first person to die from COVID-19 in Masindi district.
