Uganda Premier League side Onduparaka Football Club has confirmed that tactician Vialli Bainomugisha has left the club after termination of his contract as Head Coach.

The development was confirmed in a club statement released this morning (Tuesday).
“Onduparaka FC announces the termination of the contract of Mr Vialli Bainomugisha as Head Coach with immediate effect. The management of the club has arrived at this decision after careful consideration and for the best interest of both parties.”
“We would like to thank Coach Vialli for the tremendous contribution made towards the growth and development of Onduparaka FC,” read the statement.
Mr Bainomugisha’s departure comes barely a day before the resumption of the second round of the league with a game against Busoga United in waiting. The Caterpillars currently lie 8th on the league table with 21 points.

However, according to sources with the club that disclosed to Kazi-njema News, Coach Bainomugisha left the Caterpillars in February this year on account of accumulated salary arrears and the statement was only to make it official.
The sources said since then, Mr Bainomugisha was demanding arrears of about seven months, and he chose to stay back in Kampala after the club unveiled AbaBet and MTN Uganda as sponsors.
The former Kigezi Homeboyz, Mbarara City and Lweza FC coach joined the Caterpillars in July last year.
Mr Bainomugisha won two of the five games including Kitara FC and MYDA, collecting eight points including the draw against Express and Wakiso Giants and lost once against KCCA 8-0.
