Two people were robbed of Shs32m at Bugwara Trading Centre in Kagadi District on Sunday night, reveals the Albertine region police spokesperson, ASP Julius Allan Hakiza.

The police officer told our reporter that two armed men disguised as clients pretended to withdraw money from a mobile money operator and Centenary Bank agent, Apollo Muhumuza, 26, before being held at gunpoint and ordered him to surrender all the money he had.
Out of fear, Muhumuza surrendered Shs32m to the robbers.
Muhumuza said the robbers also raided the home of Benezaya Mwesineza at the same locality and robbed him of his computer and a cell phone before firing bullets into the air as they fled.
The regional police spokesman said police rushed to the scene but it was too late for them to pursue the thugs.

However, Mr Hakiza said police recovered a cartridge from the scene adding that it will be used to track the gun that was used in the robbery.
He said although no suspect has been apprehended, detectives are on ground investigating the matter.
This is the second robbery in less than two days after thugs attacked a Centenary Bank agent, Ruth Atuhairwe, 27 and robbed her of an unspecified amount of money in Kisiita town council, Kakumiro district on Friday night.
Reports indicated that the robbers who also camouflaged as clients approached Atuhairwe before ordering her to surrender all the money she had. When she refused, the robbers hit her on the forehead with a blunt object before grabbing an unspecified amount of money from her.

They later fired bullets randomly hitting one Benson Museveni, 35, resident of the same area.
