Self-proclaimed ‘God’ Owobusobozi Desteo Bisaka, will be laid to rest on January 31, 2021, according to State Minister for Public Service cum Kigorobya County Member of Parliament in Hoima District, David Karubanga.
Mr Karubanga revealed that Bisaka will be buried at Kapyemi hill in Muhorro Town Council, Kagadi District as agreed with the family members. Kapyemi is the headquarters of the Faith of Unity.
Bisaka, the founder of the Faith of Unity cult passed on in Kenya where he had been flown for medical treatment.
According to Mr Karubanga, President Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni has directed that Bisaka is given a accorded an official send off “due to his good contributions towards the development of Uganda.”
Bisaka was a staunch supporter of President Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party to the extent that he ordered his followers to vote for Mr Museveni and his party.
Mr Karubanga said government has sent its condolences to the bereaved family, friends and followers of the Faith of Unity cult.
Bisaka’s body arrived at Kapyeemi – the headquarters of the Faith of Unity yesterday (Sunday) afternoon aboard a military chopper AF-605.
It was received by the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and police personnel, family members, few selected followers of the Faith of Unity and government officials led by Minister Karubanga.
