Sheikh Mabanja preaches tolerance on Eid-Al-Fitr in Hoima

The message of co-existence, tolerance and respect for those in power both in Islamic religion and the government of Uganda is among the key messages at Eid-Al-Fitr commemoration in Hoima city.

While speaking to Kazi-njema News shortly after leading prayers at Bwikya Mosquei,

,Sheikh Musa Mabanja, the Bunyoro Moslem district kadhi identified harmony as key to community stability and development.

He urged Moslems and all Ugandans to restrain from disrespecting leaders and a habit of intolerance that splits members of the community that consequently sabotages social-economic progress.

Sheikh Mabanja condemned all behaviors that are not in harmony with Islamic teachings amongst those loyal to it.

On his part Sheikh Mohammed Irumba, the interdicted Bunyoro-Tooro Regional Kadhi has identified the serious prayers for unity and peace amongst Moslems across the country as one of important needs for now.

Mr Iddi Magezi, the Chairperson Bwikya Mosque has reminded President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of the unfulfilled pledges made on 25th January 2022 during the commissioning tarmac roads in Bunyoro.

They include construction of a modern mosque and a vehicle.

At Hoima Booma sports ground prayers were led by, Sheikh Yahaya Ayesiga who called for hard working among Moslems for economic empowerment.

The Hoima city Council Speaker Mr Edward Isingoma joined the city Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Asinansi Nyakato to congratulate Moslems upon completion of the fasting season amid hard economic times.

Dr. Joseph Ruyonga, the Hoima city – West Division Member of Parliament called for love and unity in order to achieve more together as countrymen.
