Uganda Cranes will next month face Kenya away and Mali at home in the 2022 FIFA World Cup journey.
The two games come as the first test for Milutin Sredojevic a.k.a. Micho who returned to Uganda at the start of this month to coach the national team.
Before the World Cup Qualifiers, Micho will test his players against Syria and Ethiopia in friendly matches.
The Serbian tactician today (Friday) summoned a preliminary squad of 30 players to start training.
The team comprises players from Express FC, KCCA, Soltilo Bright Stars, Mbarara City, URA, Kyetume, Police and Pyramids FCs, Vipers SC and SC Villa while one player is unattached.
FUFA has made arrangements to have the players trained here up to August 21 before flying to Jordan for a training camp.
At first, the team was scheduled to camp in Dubai, United Arab Emirates but this has since changed.
While in Jordan, Uganda Cranes will face the Syria national team twice on August 23 and 26.
The Cranes will them fly to Addis Ababa where they will face Ethiopia on August 29 prior to travelling to Kenya for the first qualifier match on September 2 at Nyayo Stadium.
In Ethiopia, the foreign based legion that is yet to be named will join the rest of the squad.
Uganda is in Group E of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers alongside Mali, Kenya and Rwanda.
