The judiciary’s acting Chief Registrar has transferred nine Grade One and Chief Magistrates in the country.
Mr Tom Chemutai announced the transfers in a memo on Friday, June 6, 2020, urging the transferred judicial officials to prepare handovers immediately as per Chapter 1 Section F-d of the standing orders of the government of Uganda.
In Bunyoro sub-region; Masindi chief magistrate’s court has received Mr Deo Ssejjemba from Masaka while Mr Moses Kule Lubangula from Masindi has been transferred to Mityana magistrate’s court.
Mr George Obong of Kiboga has been transferred to Kiboga/Hoima chief magistrate’s courts as Mr Samuel Kagoda Ntende of Hoima has been taken to Ibanda chief magistrate’s court.
Mr Benedict Lwanga Nsibambi of Lugazi has been transferred to Kagadi magistrate’s court.
The acting registrar said the transfers and deployment are aimed at improving service delivery.
