Four injured in Kagadi family wrangle attack

Four family members are nursing wounds they sustained after two assailants attacked them in Mabaale Town Council, Kagadi District.

Speaking at his sickbed, Mr Enoch Bahemuka told our reporter yesterday (Friday) that his two relatives he identified only as Bizibu and Kenneth attacked his wife and their two children in the incident that took place at around 8pm.

He said that the assailants beat up the family members before hacking them with a machete and fleeing the scene.

Currently, Mr Bahemuka is admitted at a local clinic.

He suspects the cause of the attack as stemming from a recent case he won at the area local council one over a footpath that passes through the suspects’ land.

“I was taking a bath at around 8:30pm when Bizibu and his brother Kenneth came and attacked us. In the incident, two of my children, my wife and I were injured. Recently, the two men sued me in the local council one court over the footpath passing through their land, but I won the case. They did not agree with the judgement and they decided to use their own authority when they came and hacked me with intent to kill me. They left me laying down thinking that they had killed me,” Mr Bahemuka said on phone.

“However, the neighbours came and rushed me to a health unit. Police have already given me a medical form and they are waiting for me to gain strength so that I can go and record a statement,” he added.
