FUFA DRUM return leg officials confirmed as Bunyoro tackle Acholi

The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) Referees Appointments Committee has confirmed that Vincent Kavuma, will be the centre referee as reigning champions Acholi and Bunyoro (0-0) faceoff in tomorrow (Saturday’s) early kickoff interprovincial march.

Kavuma will be helped by Sharif Lulenzi as the first assistant referee while Robert Kimbugwe has been appointed second assistant referee in the match that will be played at Pece Stadium in Gulu.

Habiba Naigaga will be the fourth official, Brian Miiro Nsubuga has been appointed the assessor while Ronnie Kalema will assume the commissioner role.

The return leg fixture of the interprovincial tournament between Bunyoro and Acholi states that the match will begin at 1pm.

Four fixtures are on the menu with two on Saturday and Sunday apiece at different playgrounds across the country.

On Sunday, Karamoja will play host to West Nile at Naitakwe Sports Complex seeking to overturn a 5-0 first leg defeat at1pm.

Siraji Mpyangu will be centre referee for the tie while Umaru Mukisa and Ayubu Kamba have been appointed first and second referees.

Joshua Duula is the fourth official as Abudullah Kayiwa and Livingston Lajan assume the referees assessor and match commissioner respectively.

The teams with more goals at the end of the return leg match shall be the overall winner of the tie, FUFA says adding that if teams are tied at the end of the return leg match, the away goals rule shall apply.

The football governing body continues that if teams are still tied under Article 20 (5), spot kicks shall be applied to determine the winner. There shall be no extra time, according to FUFA.
