Kagadi police are holding Pastor Emmanuel Bwambale, 33, for allegedly procuring abortion, threatening violence and obtaining money by false pretence.

Bwambale, formerly Ayubu Asaba, a resident of Nyaruziba A Village in Kiraba Ward, Kagadi Town Council is a senior pastor of Synagogue of All Nations Church in Kagadi town council industrial area.
The pastor was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after his followers reported him to the Resident District Commissioner, Ms Lillian Ruteraho, over alleged sexual acts and forcing them to abort, conning them of their money, intimidation and worshipping “Lucifer.”
Notable among the complainants is Beatrice Sanyu and Immaculate Pretty who both claim that Pastor Bwambale forced them to abort twice and once respectively after impregnating them.
Also, Peter Nkurunziza, Denis Asiimwe, Richard Ssebacu and Robert Asiimwe are among others purporting that the pastor unsuspectedly conned them of their money.
The quartet demands that the pastor pays back their money.
“We want him to pay back our money and also relieve us of Lucifer that he worships,” said Nkurunziza.
However, talking to our reporter at the RDC’s office, Pastor Bwambale denied the allegations saying some people were framing him to take over his church.
“There are some people who want to tarnish my image and take over leadership of my church,” he said.

Despite this, the RDC handed the pastor over to Kagadi police station for further legal management.
The Kagadi District Police Commander, Mr Steven Kamar, warned people against rushing to the mushrooming Born Again Churches.
He said that some pastors in Pentecostal churches want to enrich themselves by scooping money from their unsuspecting followers in the name of praying for them to get healed of incurable diseases and other infirmities and also becoming rich.
