Kagadi woman MP, RDC survive accident

The Kagadi District woman Member of Parliament, Ms Jennifer Kyomuhendo Mbabazi and the Kagadi Resident District Commissioner, Ms Lillian Ruteraho, on Monday afternoon survived an accident by a whisker when the vehicle they travelling in veered off the road.

The Kagadi district communications officer, Mr George Gulyetonda and Mr Paschal Kasaija, a member of the Uganda Red Cross Society (URCS) were also among the occupants of the vehicle registration number UAZ 984B that swerved off the road in Ndaiga Sub-county, Kagadi District.

The quartet and their driver only identified as Mr Julius were heading to Ndaiga sub-county to deliver relief items donated by URCS Kibaale Branch to people who were hit by floods of Lake Albert.

According to the driver, the vehicle failed to brake downhill on the Kyaterekera-Ndaiga Road.

Ms Mbabazi told this website that the vehicle occupants “survived by the grace of God” while Ms Ruteraho says the car occupants “are out of danger.”
