Kibaale police arrest woman for killing alleged rapist

Police in Kibaale are holding a 32-year-old woman for allegedly killing a 50-year-old man for purportedly attempting to rape her.

The District Police Commander (DPC), ASP David Otabong, identified the suspect as Scola Nabugwaho, resident of Ibambura Village in Bwamiramira Sub –county, Kibaale District.

 The DPC also identifidd the deceased as Moses Gidudu, who was a casual worker at a one Matayo Ajuna’s home; resident of the same area.

The police officer told our reporter that the incident occurred on Tuesday night.

Eye witnesses say that Nabugwaho cut off the deceased’s hands with a machete after he sneaked into her room with intent to allegedly rape her at the home of a one Justine Alinaitwe where the suspect has also been working as a casual labourer.

Gidudu bled profusely and died before reaching Kibaale Health Centre 4 where he was being rushed for medical management.

Mr Aheebwa Biingi, the Ibambura village chairman says that Nabugwaho has for long been known for her infamous sexual promiscuity in the area.

The DPC said that Nabugwaho is currently detained at Kibaale police station adding that she will be arraigned before the magistrate on charges of murder once investigations are complete.
