Kitara FC has beaten Mbarara’s Nyamityobora FC 2-0 in the second league of the Star Times FUFA Big League in a match played at Kigaaya playground in Buhimba Sub-county, Kikuube District.

Both goals were scored by Brian Muruli in the match played on Sunday evening. Muruli also helped Kitara FC to get a 4-2 defeat against Masindi’s Dove FC at their home ground last week.

Nyamityobora had also lost to Dove FC in a 1-0 game.

This win puts Hoima’s Kitara FC in the second top position in the Rwenzori Group of the league after Ndejje University that has 22 points in nine games with 11 goals.

Kitara FC has 22 points with 10 goals less by one of Ndejje University.

Kitara FC will on Thursday next week face Water FC from Kampala at the same playground to determine its next position in the league.

Kitara FC might rebuild the sports image of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom if it continues to advance her play tactics and combined factors that have been helping her to move forward.

Mr Joshua Atugonza, the Kitara FC Chief Executive Officer, says they are determined to keep their flag up.

Why could Nyamityobora lose to Kitara?

Analysts have told Kazi-Njema News that Kitara FC took a home ground advantage with many fans besides having not been beaten in the region.

Some say, the journey fatigue could have also affected Nyamityobora FC’s performance.
