Malaria Consortium donates Personal Protective Equipment to Kagadi district

Malaria Consortium has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Kagadi District Local Government to guard against the spread of Covid-19.

The items worth Shs100m will be distributed to 956 Village Health Team (VHT) members and 42 health workers in the district.

Handing out the items, Dr Noah Anthony, the Malaria Action Plan for Districts (MAPD) country director said each beneficiary will receive 30 pieces of disposable face masks, goggles, gloves, soap, a jerry can and Shs10, 000.

Receiving the PPE, the Kagadi Resident District Commissioner, Ms Lillian Ruteraho, who is also the Kagadi District Covid-19 chairperson lauded MAPD “for its tremendous support rendered to the district.”
