A two-week-old baby girl was last (Sunday) night dumped in a pit latrine at Bishop Rwakaikara primary school in Kagadi Town Council, Kagadi District.
The baby of a yet to be identified woman was heard crying by some residents who salvaged it from the pit latrine and rushed her to a nearby clinic for medical attention.
The residents urge the police to investigate the matter and bring the suspect to book as a deterrent to others.
The Kagadi District Police Commander, SP Moses Muzima Kiconco says the police are hunting for the child’s mother.
