Onduparaka thumps Kitara FC in Uganda Premier League

Onduparaka FC beat Kitara FC in a match played at Green Light Stadium in the Uganda Premier League last (Tuesday) evening, April 13, 2021..

Arua-based Onduparaka FC (The Caterpillars) rallied from behind to stun Kitara FC 2-1 at Green Light stadium in the Uganda Premier League encounter last (Tuesday) evening.

Nathan Oloro rekindled Kitara FC’s hope but putting them ahead just after 17 minutes in the first half.

The Caterpillars equalised five minutes later through Mahdi Ajobe who capitalised from  free kick to end the first half 1-1.

However, host Onduparaka took the lead in the 63rd minute of the second half through Noel Nasasira’s effort that earned them the three maximum points and put them 8th in the Startimes Uganda Premier League log with 24 points in 17 games played so far.

Onduparaka’s head coach, Joseph Mutyaba, however, described the game against the bottom Hoima based club a tricky one since they are trying to avoid relegation.

“Playing a team that is fighting relegation is the most difficult than even a mid-table team and every game they go for, they treat it as final but thank God we were able to pick the maximum points against them” said Mutyaba.
